Medial
Medial is an anatomical direction that refers to a position that is closer to the midline of the body. For example, the lateral side of the leg is the side that faces away from the other leg. Synonyms include midline and center.
Medial: An anatomical direction; closer to the midline of the body. For example, the pectoralis major is medial to the anterior deltoid.
